Most vehicles fitted with a DPF will need to have it replaced at some point as part of the service schedule if it has not already become overloaded in the meantime, this can be very expensive indeed.

We strongly advise that before any procedure like this which changes the emission level of a vehicle, you take steps to ensure you are not going to breach your countries laws or emissions regulations. The Diesel particulate filter is A LEGAL REQUIREMENT for road use in the UK, so we can only remove it from the ECU if the vehicle is not being used on the road or if the ECU is being used to power a vehicle that is not subject to DPF legislation.
BEWARE:
A great many unscrupulous so called "Remappers" are just turning off the DPF fault code system so that the fault light doesn’t come on the dash for DPF problems anymore. This leaves the system trying to use the DPF system and can very quickly damage the engine quite significantly.
